A northern New York staple has come to Tampa, the “beef on weck” sandwich; the area is better with the sloppy, messy and oh so delicious treat. The new venue is Honey’s on North Dale Mabry Highway and it is very welcome.

This has to be one of the most adorable things I’ve ever seen. Her name is Sonya and she is a Slow Loris (Nycticebus Coucang) – a slow moving primate found throughout southeast Asia inhabiting tropical evergreen rain forests. They are mainly fruit eaters but will also eat insects, leaves and bird’s eggs. The saliva of the species is toxic and used as a defense against predators but as (more. . .)

One of the policies that helped Kevin Rudd and the Labor Party win government back in 2007 was a commitment to environment protection and preservation. Now public opinion has started shifting as the costs of committing to an international Emissions Trading Scheme are starting to emerge and more concrete issues are taking more of a priority. .
