I love old craft books. I have too many to count. I especially love the books from
the 1980′s, like this one.
The patterns were great.
Who didn’t (at the time) love those bright 80′s colors? Even men wore hot pink!
I love that big 80′s hair! Looking back, it’s easy to make fun of ourselves for being
so outlandish. But, outlandish, is what made the 1980′s fun!

Only die-hard “Angel” fans will recognize that name most likely. Andy Hallett played the unusual but lovable demon Lorne on the “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” spin-off “Angel.”
Hallett passed away due to heart failure Sunday night at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles with his father by his side according to his longtime friend and agent Pat Brady. He had been diagnosed about five years ago with heart disease, and had (more. . .)

Yes, I’m going on a diet on purpose, but that’s not the catch here. The Major League Baseball season is about to begin, and it might not come as a big surprise, but the New York Yankees are an 11/4 favorite to win the World Series.
The second favorite to win are the Chicago Cubs at 11/2. Rounding out the top five are the Boston Red Sox 15/2, Philadelphia Phillies 17/2, and tied at 10-1 are the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York (more. . .)

My latest crafting obsession is crocheting with VHS tape. I’m not sure if there are
a lot of crochet patterns available for this technique or not…I haven’t done a search
yet. I imagine there are a few freebies somewhere.
I will keep working with the technique and I’ll be sharing some free patterns on the
internet with you.

Normally on Friday night’s my wife and I go out and get crazy. OK, we don’t really. The extent of most of our Friday nights include getting together with my wife’s parents, and her brother and his wife for “Family Game Night.” Games usually consists of playing Wii, Cranium, or Partini for a few hours. All rather enjoyable endeavors.

Nicholas Cage is losing credibility as quickly as he is hair these days. So he may not be high on director Christopher Nolan’s list of potential Batman 3 super-villains – if and when he constructs one.
