New BuddyPress Feature Added

Just a quick note about a new feature that has been added. You will notice across the top of all of the pages within the World Blogosphere that there is a new bar. It is the BuddyPress bar.
BuddyPress is an additional resource attached to WordPress that will make the site more sociable. Think of it as the Facebook of our own site.
It will allow you to upload profile details for all to see, add a site wide avatar, send private messages to other members, and even add friends.
It also has many other features. Please try it out and see what you think. I am still checking out all of its features myself, so it is a bit of a work in progress. If you have any problems with it or questions about it please let me know. Maybe even send me a private message with your questions.

That’s a weird set up! What’s the Masthead thingy and can it be changed?
I tried to upload an avatar, got the photo and cropped it, but I just got a black square.
You shouldn’t let me touch these things, you know. I’ll just blow them up in the end:D
It looks like it could be fun with the shortcuts and the social aspect:)

I think the masthead thing is supposed to be my header. Haven’t figured out how to change it yet.
Odd, I tried uploading an avatar and it too just went to a black square.
I think we just need to take some time to learn all the new stuff.
I do like the shortcuts, and did you notice in the top right corner you can go to a random post or blog? I like that feature too.
